Friendship is much like cherries.
The ripe, red fruit
so tantalizing to some,
once offered, should not be withdrawn.
At times it seems
you have been left with nothing but the pits.
Other years luck,
greets the birds with this succulent treat
and you are left with none.
Yet not all have such an option
to possess such a wonderful delight.
Truth be none,
if you are patient,
you might just get a slice of the pie!
